Chapter
9
I want to know God more....
....I was guilty, ....but You made me innocent in Your eyes

There's a wonderful worship song that stirs my heart for Jesus. Do an online search for the song "Oh, I want to know you more" ....and sing along with me. Here's some of the words....

Oh, I want to know You more!
Deep within my soul I want to know You,
To feel Your heart and know Your mind,
Looking in Your eyes stirs up within me,
Cries that says I want to know You,
Lord, I want to know You more.

SMILE, .......been a long road for me to travel these past 80-ish years. Some downs, mostly ups, and I'm grateful for every step with Jesus ....filling my life with His goodness. In the next "God-Moments" section of this Online Book, I share some stories of my life's journey. ....I testify, ....there is no better way to travel ....than with Jesus!
From the beginning of our Quest in chapter 1, we sought to know more about God ....and His amazing love for each of us. ....So, here in chapter 9, let's pause a moment and bring together all we understand about the Gospel message.

This is the Gospel Message....
....I was guilty, ....but You made me innocent in Your eyes ....thru Jesus Christ

Family and Friends, ....please invest the time and listen to this pivotal message by Pastor AR Bernard. Titled "I'm Innocent", he asks.... "How would you respond to the idea of our confidence to come into the presence of God?" ....How can we "not be trapped in an old mindset (worldview) ....even though in relationship with Christ, ....and now experiencing the God of love?"
Let's listen....
Pastor AR Bernard, Christian Cultural Center, Brooklyn, NY

Tell me about your Quest....
If we could, I would like to sit down and talk with you over a cup of coffee, and ....ask about your life's journey. ....What do I need to know about you? ....What's your Biblical worldview look like? How did you come to "own" it? Any God-Moments in your life? ....Tell me what God is doing in your life now?

I know, a lot of questions. But you have a story to share with someone, ....a friend, a family member. Tell them about your Quest to know God more.
Yes, you are a work in progress. We all are. So, just tell them about the progress Jesus is making in changing your life. What He does is always fascinating.
....Why am I asking? Because in my younger years, I don't recall having conversations about such deep questions. Kinda wish I had. Might have helped me get past my insecurities sooner to express what I believe and why. .......Think I'm there now, but not so much in my younger years.

Every persons' story with Jesus is unique, ....some things may be similar, ....but yours is yours. ....It is perfectly yours, ....so own it, ....and be grateful for it. .......SHARE YOUR STORY, ....because someday, someone needs to hear your testimony of life with Jesus. ....Your story may change their life, ....and then they too can tell others ....there is no better way to travel ....than with Jesus!

God knows we are "a work in progress"
....With an open and honest heart, you can always begin again with Jesus.

Which brings to mind a blog written by a pastor friend a few years ago about the Book of Nehemiah. Kept it because of how I related to it. Seems relevant to share this with with you now....
"When we begin again, we aren't the same as we were when we first started out. Some things about us have changed. We don't start from scratch, spiritually. There are some things that we've learned. There are some things that have been added to our lives. And there are some things that have fallen out of our lives. But we take what we have, and we begin again.
"And as you'll see in Israel's history, God isn't so interested in how far you've fallen ....as how committed you are in beginning again."

So what's my commitment to beginning again?....

Today, writing these words....
....I begin again from yesterday's history, and press on with my Lord into today's stuff. And He is here walking with me through it all.

If you wonder, ...."is Jesus here walking with me now?" Ask Him....
My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “LORD, I am coming.”
— Psalm 27:8 NLT

Why should we know God more?
Well, because ....at my 80-ish age, I've made a lot of choices, ....been a lot of places, ....seen a lot of stuff, ....know something about what's right and wrong. .......There's an old saying you may have heard, ...."I've been around the barn a few times".

From a lifetime of experience making choices, ....I want yours and my worldviews to LOOK LIKE THIS....
.

.

With God's help, ....we can live honestly like this. ....Knowing full well, ....we continue to be "a work in progress".
SMILE.... Okay, let's talk about "God-Moments are life markers".
