God wants to be involved in our lives....

Thinking about God's "gift of learning" ....takes me back to my college undergraduate days studying for a degree in Math Education.  Graduating in Spring 1966, I was going to be a high school math teacher, ....before God helped change my life's direction and started me down a different path of creating media, ....and here we are nearly 60 years later talking through this website.  SMILE, ....God has plans for us to follow Him....

I recall in my Math Education courses, we studied a learning theory called Bloom's Taxonomy.  This image describes the progression of student "learning levels" ....to help teachers write learning objectives for courses of study ....such as math, teaching, engineering, business, health, etc.  It starts with "Remember" facts and builds to "Create" a new whole, solve a problem, ....learn how to do something creative, etc.

Okay, everyone knows 2+2=4.  ....But, to REMEMBER 2+2=4 ....is just basic memory stuff, ....unless you UNDERSTAND and know how to APPLY the math.  ....For example, consider an architectural engineer designing the foundation of the Empire State Building.  

....Ya gotta seriously learn how to ANALYZE the engineering math, ....so you can correctly EVALUATE the construction design, ....if you're going to CREATE ....a building that is still standing firm after a storm!

The basics of God's "gift of learning"....

How about building your life's Biblical worldview, ....so you are still standing firm after a life's storm?  See Matthew 7:24-25  .......Trust me, ....ya gotta know Jesus, ....ya gotta have a learning, believing mind, ....for sure ya gotta want to have a teachable, responding heart, ....if you're going to build (CREATE) a worldview ....that's worth anything to save your life ....and grow in knowledge of God

"Knowledge" (being aware) of scripture in the Bible ....is a good start, ....but YOU HAVE GOTTA ASK JESUS to help you UNDERSTAND (believing mind) that scripture and APPLY (responding heart) it in your life.  ....Otherwise, such "knowledge awareness" is just "basic memory stuff".

So, how does Bloom's Taxonomy relate....

....to learning God's Word, ....so we can live by it....

REMEMBER scripture you've thought about and learned ....Psalm 119:11

UNDERSTAND the benefits of what you've learned ....Psalm 119:105

APPLY "knowledge of God" learned into your life ....2 Peter 1:3,5-8

ANALYZE outcomes of your worldview choices in life ....Romans 12:2

EVALUATE "God's TRUTH" in your worldview choices ....Philippians 4:8-9

CREATE the reality of your life's story ....Colossians 3:10 NCV

....as a witness to WHO YOU ARE IN JESUS....

You are living a brand new kind of life that is continually learning more and more of what is right, and trying constantly to be more and more like Christ who created this new life within you.

LORD, ....Give us minds ready to receive wisdom and revelation so we will truly know You.  Open the eyes of our hearts, and let the light of Your TRUTH flood in.  Shine Your light on the hope You are calling us to embrace.  ....Let us see the FULL EXTENT of YOUR POWER that is AT WORK IN THOSE OF US WHO BELIEVE, and may it be done according to Your might and power.  Amen.

Now back to the question....

Why did God give us the Bible, ....His Holy Word?  ....What previous generations knew about living with God, ....is the same knowing we have today.  Author God ensured His Word — what we can hold in our hands and read today — is the same, consistent, unchanged, unadulterated, complete TRUTH ....straight from Him!  

Why has God done this for us?  ....Because He knows better than we ever could ....the reality of spiritual battles we experience as humans.  That is "Why?" we have God's Word in our hands today.  Because....

Our weapons in spiritual warfare....

"....are not of this world, but are POWERED BY GOD and effective at tearing down the strongholds erected against His TRUTH.  WE ARE demolishing arguments and ideas, every high-and-mighty philosophy that pits itself against the knowledge of the one true God. WE ARE taking prisoners of every thought, every emotion, and subduing them into obedience to Jesus."
    — 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 The Voice

So, HOW? ....are WE HUMANS "demolishing arguments and ideas, every high-and-mighty philosophy that pits itself against the knowledge of the one true God"?

HOW? ....are WE HUMANS "taking prisoners of every thought, every emotion, and subduing them into obedience to Jesus"?  .......Hmm?, ....we don't even know how to fight a spiritual battle, ....let alone win one, ....UNLESS GOD HELPS US.

It is by God's TRUTH, the Word of God, ....HELP FROM JESUS HIMSELF, ....that is how we win any and all spiritual battles!  .......And it starts here....

How to read and study this Online Book....
